"Why did you start a coffee roastery?" I get asked this question quite often these days. This time, I want to share the story of a single day that became the origin of my life with coffee.

Back when I was a company employee, my days were filled with sales work, one after another. But a small, unplanned moment ended up changing the direction of my life.

One day, at a client meeting, I was offered a cup of coffee. It turned out to be a rare bean, one that had placed second in Brazil's Cup of Excellence. The moment I picked up the cup and took a sip, I felt as if time itself had stopped.

A clean taste spread through my mouth. A pure, clear feel on the palate, in harmony with an aroma as delicate and rich as flowers. It was a completely new side of coffee, something I had until then only known as an everyday drink.

On my way back to the office after the meeting, the aftertaste of that single cup stayed vivid in my mouth. Even after I sat back down at my desk, more than thirty minutes later, that flavor was still stirring my senses. That lingering aftertaste seemed to be telling me, "this is the true appeal of coffee."

From that moment, something in me changed. I realized coffee could be more than just a beverage, it could be a deep experience that moves the heart. I never imagined, at the time, that this one cup would go on to change the rest of my life.

Years have passed since then, and now I walk this path myself as a coffee roaster. That day's experience became the great turning point that shaped who I am today.
