[About the origin]
Colombia stands among the world's foremost coffee-producing nations.
Within it, the Huila growing region in the country's southwest is known for yielding coffee of exceptional quality. It sits where the Andes split into three ranges, blessed with fertile soil.
The La Plata district lies at an especially high altitude of 1,500 to 1,900m, and its producers have long invested in high-quality coffee, establishing a coffee lab there in 2003.
Dedicated smallholder farmers (each farm around 2ha) carry on tireless efforts to achieve sustainable, high-quality agriculture.
