From the Acatenango region, by the celebrated, perennial COE-winning La Hermosa Farm. Please try this floral, fruity coffee with the measured, quintessentially Guatemalan balance.
[Origin notes]
La Hermosa Farm lies in the Acatenango valley, in the southwest of Guatemala. Set on the slopes of the Acatenango volcano (3,976m), Guatemala's third-highest peak, the farm sits at an altitude of 1,200 to 1,700m, with an average annual rainfall of 2,000 to 2,500mm. Its volcanic soil is ideal for growing coffee.
At La Hermosa Farm, coffee cherries from traditional varieties through to fashionable new ones are all carefully hand-picked, and the beans are produced by following best practices across a range of processing methods.
The farm has won the Cup of Excellence in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2020, and 2021. In 2019 it also took first place in a blockchain auction, an outstanding estate.
This time I introduce a Bourbon and Typica microlot with floral, bright fruit, produced by the free-washed method.
